Every once in a while, I step outside of client work to chase an idea that's been living in my head — a mood, a story, a visual I can't stop thinking about. That's what The Lab is for.

What Is The Lab

From time to time, I create a themed concept photoshoot — the styling, the location, the story, the light — and open it up to a small number of people to bring it to life with me in Kansas City. These aren't standard portrait sessions. They're collaborative, editorial, a little theatrical, and offered at a reduced rate because you're stepping into my creative vision as a photographer, not building your own from scratch.

Think of it as being cast in a story I've already started writing.

How It Works

I choose the concept — a theme, a palette, a setting, sometimes even a loose narrative
I share the full creative direction ahead of time: wardrobe guidance, mood, what to expect
You inquire via my contact page
Because the creative lift is mine and the concept is set, these themed photoshoots are offered at a limited-time discounted rate
